Description

Square fuses have an elongated, rectangular shape with a relatively small surface area. When the current is too high, heat is quickly generated inside the fuse. Due to the small surface area, the heat cannot be conducted and released in time, resulting in a rapid increase in the temperature inside the fuse. When the temperature exceeds the melting point, the wire inside the fuse blows. The entire blowing process can be completed in just a few milliseconds, which is much faster than the blowing time of a cylindrical fuse.
